Horacio Salgán: The last of the greatest tango maestros of the 20th century

The history has it, that Astor Piazzolla nearly gave up tango because of Horacio Salgán. In his mind, Piazzolla could not match the brilliance of Salgán.

Maestro Salgán (b.1916) was a musicians' musician until recent times, because, unfortunately, the most productive years of his carrier happen to be during the years when Argentine tango experienced decline.
