Who was Eva Peron? Saint or
whore? Idealist or opportunist? Where her myth came from? How people
felt about Evita?
Hear the Evita's story (with a tango twist, of course), the
reminiscences of the people who lived in Peronist Argentina (in their
own voices) and
the excerpts from "Santa Evita" by Tomas Eloy
Martinez
, the most brilliant biographical novel I've ever read. The show
is inspired by this novel.
There are several additional tracks with readings from "Santa Evita" and
music, which did not fit into the show, but they might be interesting to
listen to.

My
most ambitious
(so far) production is dedicated to
my daughter Emma,
who graduated from Middle School on June 7.
She is the most artistically gifted student of Class'07. And it is not
only proud Mom's opinion.

Sally Bedell Smith, "Reflected Glory" -
I mentioned Pamela Digby Churchill Harriman in my show, a one of the
most prominent courtesans of the 20th century. I read about her in
this excellent biography. The book reads like a novel of high intrigue and
scandal. It is scary to know that, after all, the history is made
like bologna sausage.
