Two segments about one of the greatest writers of the 20th century. The narration is accompanied by the tangos with Borges's lyrics and the tangos written by his favorite composers.
Borges wrote a lot about his life-long struggle with the inherited blindness and how it effected his perception of the world.
In the 1960s Piazzolla and Borges cooperated on the musical project. It produced a number of memorable milongas, such as Jancinto Chiclana. Also, Borges created many other poems dedicated to tango and wrote about the connection of early milonga poetry to the Argentine national character. The re-recording of this Borges-Piazzolla project is masterfully done by Daniel Binelli, Lito Cruz & Jairo.
Bernardo Monk makes a guest appearance on segment 2.
